Canoeing
Probably one of the most exciting activities I remember. The lake can almost look overwhelming before you start paddling, but once you're in the water it's all up to you. The first time I canoed was at Kamp, and I remember not wanting to fall in, but sometimes that can be the most thrilling part of it all.

Khalil Khaos
Khalil Khaos is the best part of the weekend. Not only is it challenging and educational, it is tons of fun. My favorite station is "Spot the not". This is one of 3 mental challenge stations. You must compare the two pictures and spot all of the differences between the two pictures. The time clock is ticking so you must work together to beat the clock and your opponent!

Kamp Fire
Smores!!! I can never get enough. The campfire is the best part of the week. I remember the first year Imam Wazir Ali told the stories of the companions of the prophet Muhammad (saws), as we sat around the Kampfire eating our smores. I had never heard anyone describe their personalities and dedication to spreading Islam with so much enthusiasm and passion. Nothing could extinguish that fire. I can’t wait until next time.

Morning Halaqas
“Establish regular prayers - at the sun's decline till the darkness of the night, and the morning prayer and reading: for the prayer and reading in the morning carry their testimony.” (17:78) Our days begin with Fajr prayer and the reading of The Quran. Halaqa topics include, but are not limited to, the moral lessons from the stories of our prophets (saws), the significance of wudu, the adhan, the iqama, and the positions of prayer.

Interactive Workshops
All of our sessions are content rich, yet activity based. Participants learn through diagram models, guided practice, group discussion, public speaking, team building, and self-directed presentations. Content includes, but is not limited to, financial literacy, goal setting, critical thinking, business plan formulation, civic engagement, healthy communication skills, time management, networking, self-discovery, entrepreneurial development, overcoming adversity, understanding diversity, identifying and handling bullying, and conflict resolution.

Congregational Prayers
I love how we make prayer together 5 times a day at camp. I got to call the adhan for Fajr and lead everybody in Isha prayer. I wish it was this easy to make prayer every day when I am at home. I wish the camp was longer.

Skill Sets
Creative expression is another key ingredient within our programming. Participants gain experience using raw materials to create and produce. Developing their skill set increases their self-efficacy and enhances their able to succeed. Our participants have crafted pillows, jewelry, and rugs. They have also learned the importance of using natural products on their bodies by through mixing and formulating individualized shower gels and lip balms.

Fitness
Health education and physical fitness are the highlights of our summer and winter camps. Participants have participated in workshops on nutrition, positive mental attitude, hygiene, and dietary needs. Physical activity includes kickball, dodgeball, dance, yoga, basketball, canoeing, and our signature activity Khalil Khaos, which is a team competition comprised of both physical and mental challenges.

We value holistic personal development which includes health and nutrition. Our balanced meals are prepared using halal products. Our personal chef knows the importance of creating nutritious and delicious meals that will provide our attendees with the energy they need to optimize their camp experience.

Nature Walks
This was my first time camping and my favorite part was the nature walk. I hardly see any trees in my neighborhood. We got a chance to learn about the different types of trees and plants. It felt so good to smell fresh air, see the wild animals, and hear the crickets chirp at night.
